"Look at the photo of this young woman next to photo of old woman" - shows photo of young girl of maybe 19-25 with model-like features, so not really someone you can spot on the streets. Sometimes, lately more often, it's AI generated image or illustration because such perfect face (in eyes of society beauty standards only, of course) does not exist. But a lot of times it's a photo of young model. Next to that photo is a photo of usually beautiful middle aged woman, or, as a more contrast, photo of very old woman (it's NEVER a photo of men, because they don't age at all, right?), with wrinkles, saggy skin and everything today considered "yuck" or unwanted. It doesn't matter if the photo is of beautiful middle-aged woman or very old woman over 80, statement is usually the same:
"look at the photo of youth on the left, it's upside down triangle shaped, it has V shaped jaw, big eyes with outer corners higher than inner, lifted full mouth and everything is very harmonic on this face"
God, I hate this V shaped jaw thing, like that's some kind of of goal we all should strive to, like every other face shape is ugly, and they make us think so, because how otherwise to find more customers that are not pleased with their looks. They have to make sure to make us hate our own faces, and if necessary, bodies too. Because average is not beautiful, there are specific features that society created as aspiring, as wanted, as only pretty possible, that only some minority of people really have, but that's the only thing that matters, to have such features. Who cares if your heritage is different!
"On the photo on the right is the photo of old woman, and you can see" here voice shows a slight disgust, "that face is like a triangle, everything is hanging down" (usually NOTHING is hanging, or it's a face of 90 year old but what-the-hell, we gotta sell that surgery!) "you can see that jaw is not V shaped" (Fuck you and your V shaped jaw) "and that philtrum is long which is ugly and sign of aging" (you are ugly and sign of aging!), "so we have to lift that face up, make it triangle again, cut the skin, muscle, all the tissue and lift it up. Then we make a cut just under nose and remove piece of tissue and saw it back so your philtrum, that space between nose and lips is shorter and prettier, and you will look better because society says so and that's important."
Like they don't earn enough money on people who legit need surgery, people who have diseases, deformities, who had accidents, or people who want small improvements to feel better about themselves. No, we now need to MAKE artificial need for surgeries, which cost among 3000-4000 Euros in Europe to even whooping 50000 to 100000 $ in USA! Because, women, our looks preserved, our short philtrum, our V shaped jaw, our full lips and large eyes with lifted eyelids and brows will make us happy, give us new friends, relationships, make us look younger, and make everything in our lives good again. Because we NEED to know that everything else is ugly, you can't have square jaw as a woman, you should have short space between nose and lips because otherwise you will look old and ugly, you need your eyes opened, lids cut not to hang over eyes, you need your jaws shaved into V shape, and your muscles and tissue cut and stitched up so you look refreshed and young. And your nose has to be tiny, cut, broken with surgical hammer then put together again (sure it will be an agony but worth it, right?), and your jaw has to be so sharp it can cut cheese!
But in order to make you do that, and spend your money on that, and to make you think that is the key to your happiness, they have to make you think that you are ugly as you are. The ideal is precisely determined, pretty face is mathematically determined to match one and only ideal. It's a face of 16 year old girl who has large eyes, full heart-shaped lips, tiny button nose and perfect oval lifted face. And it's not something that can be sustained during aging so you have to pay to sustain the illusion of it, and pack to that perfect white crowns on teeth because teeth have to be perfect too otherwise it won't fit to that face.
But first, we have to make you feel like a walking shit, because we can. We are doctors, we know what is ugly and what needs to be done not to be ugly. Just pay us.
