I am so tired

We live in supposedly the easiest times. People used to live much shorter, harder lives, they used to work 10, 12 or even more hours of hard work every day. They would have like 10 children and only 3 would survive to the age of 10 or more. The life was rough. Yet, today, we are likely more tired than ever. Most of us works in offices, or even from home, most jobs aren't that hard, wars are burning as they always do but hidden from a lot of us who can see only what media allows us to see. We watch other people's "perfect lives" on internet, we see too many almost perfect looking people or just perfect looking every single day, people with no apparent flaws in life or body or face, we know way too much but still not enough, we want to be liked by total strangers and we do not know what is real anymore. We can't create because we want audience to approve our work, we can't be ourselves because we want to be perfect too, want to be liked, want to live life that i...

Buy my course and become like me

There are a lot of videos and essays laughing at alpha males, their roaring and yelling at camera and their... acolytes? students? whatever. They flash their muscles, their big expensive cars, they surround themselves with young (often, very young) women, they wear a lot of jewelery, and they like to show us how better they are than anyone else. They get up at 4am, they run or workout, lift heavy weights, drink only bottled water and eat expensive organic food. People still laugh at them, I mean people who are not obsessed with them, which are most likely very young, impressionable men. Then, there are influencers who like to show us how their life is basically clean and perfect. We saw too many videos about that too. Clean, expensive stuff, overally healthy food, everything esthetically pleasing to the top, bodies and hair and make up perfect 24 hours a day... you know the drill. Lately, I noticed on our Serbian social media our own influencers. Usually, they are women, young, in thei...

The Awakening (part 4)

Part 3: Getting out He was surprised but shrugged his shoulders. "People get used to everything." "You'd be surprised," he added. "Can I see the others you managed to wake up? Maybe I know someone." After the physiotherapy, I looked at the pages on the small computer board with faces and more faces of the awakened. Some people's faces were slightly blurred and had the words "deceased" across them. The whole search was frustrating and sad. The whole planet went to hell and mommy's and daddy's rich children got away with it and the rest of us are just experiments, who can explode at any moment like an old hand grenade. The first time I went outside after getting on my feet was a shock, and not just physically. Before that, I barely got rid of Darko, whom I mentioned earlier as a confused red-haired young man with a beard. Darko seemed to be a little to fond of me, he hanged around me saying the most incredible amounts of the weird...

The Awakening (part 3)

Part 3: Stem cells Fast forward to the day when I could successfully roll around in a wheelchair, which wasn't even electric, but old-fashioned, with the wheels that I had to push with my hands. My legs were now functional, but not enough to walk on my own. They wouldn't let me out of my cell...ups sorry, I mean hospital room, except when they were driving me for tests, scans, endless needle poking and electrocutions. During those not-so-pleasant tests and treatments, I had the opportunity to take a look at my arms and legs, and even my torso, and it was clear that whatever they did, they managed to rejuvenate my body by at least twenty years. I wasn't optimistic about that because a dark-haired young man, Dr. Marianusic, told me that almost half of the stem cell treatments ended "very, very badly." I didn't want to ask for details. After all, what do I have to lose at my age? After an additional two hundred years of half-life in ice? I became nervous from all...

The Awakening (part 2)

Part2: I am awake  I ask them to straighten me up, everything hurts from lying down and my eyes are constantly fixed on the not so interesting ceiling. My mind is in an incredible confusion and I have many questions. They carefully pick me up and place me in a wheelchair. This is my life now. I remember being 67 years old. An old woman completely paralyzed, in a wheelchair, who can only blink and squeak a little. Why did they wake me up? The view from the upright position is not much more interesting than the ceiling. Everything around me is white, and it immediately reminds me of a hospital. The smell of antiseptics, steel, alcohol, the whiteness of painted walls and the silvery shine of steel. Doesn't look comforting at all, ice was better. Around me is a group of people, young people, I would say, maybe in their thirties. There are four of them and they are all dressed in sterile white suits from head to toe. Two of them wear complex helmets, like the one I hallucinated that it ...

The Awakening (part 1)

Part 1: After The End I don't remember the event of the disaster, I don't even remember certain details, segments. That entire short period has been erased from my memory. Only after the end of the world I remember a period of consciousness that I cannot explain, because I was as dead, just as everyone else on earth, frozen forever in a giant block of ice. I didn't panic, which might be understandable in the given situation, I calmly observed the frozen world around me, the glassy walls of the ice cave and the block of ice in which we were all caught like insects in amber. There was little light in there, only a few glimmers that refracted hundreds of times on the icy rocks and penetrated into the open eyes of those of us who met our ends awake and aware. I was freed from everything, feelings, pain, physical needs, even aging, I felt a peace that I had never felt before. The peace of someone who has absolutely nothing left to lose. All I had was the play of lights and shado...

My novel is online with new COVERS!!!!

Mima and life on planet Inferno My novel "Mima and life on planet Inferno" is online in paperback and kindle version with new covers, made by professional artist Mladen Oljaca (listed as illustrator on page). I wrote hopefully better "blurb" (description) this time, and trying to find ways to promote. It's sf novel about two different worlds and tough choice for protagonist Mima, a high-school teacher living her not-so-best-life, of where to chose to live: safe, comfortable but a bit boring and too sheltered world on her home planet, or crazy, interesting world full of action but also dangerous, dirty, uncomfortable and violent world on another planet. What will she choose? Check it out on Amazon, paperback and Kindle version available! https://www.amazon.com/Mima-Planet-Inferno-Biljana-Malesevic-ebook/dp/B09PLQHQKB/ref=tmm_kin_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=&sr=

All that is wrong with this world

We have National Park in Serbia, Fruska Gora. It was beautiful once, it had it's own fauna, lots of animals, trees, grass, so many plants, so much green! Sure, it had few restaurants, cabins, even hotels, but mainly in spirit with the surroundings, it blended it well. There was still lots of trees, lots of animals and nature. Yes, around May 1st, there were a lot of people camping there leaving loads of trash and sometimes, even small fires. Because, that's what humans do. Destroy. Still, it looked all pretty good, compared to now. Then came a company, rich company from another regional country, because of course they don't give a shit for out country and our nature. Why would they when our own town major and his companions would literally do ANYTHING for money. If they had chance, for not that a lot money, I bet they would cause ecological disaster which would likely kill half citizens of town and they wouldn't even bat an eye or take any accountability. Because they d...

Life could be, should be great

Most people today are miserable. Even people you see on Instagram and other social networks looking like they own the world, in best hotels, smiling in bed over the fancy meal, looking like beautiful paintings, they are mostly if not all, miserable. It's the set up. It takes hundreds of photos to get a good one, the lovely looking meal is usually not real or not being eaten, hotel room is costly and most photos don't look that good. It's nice to believe in myth there is such ideal life, and to believe, if we are just beautiful enough, slim enough, if we could get enough money and followers, we could be happy too. But would we? Now, the large percent of people don't have Instagram life, real or faked, we live in our tiny apartments, or larger apartments, no difference, we go to work, we sleep and eat, and life is just passing by. Some think, van life, life off the grid is the answer. It might be, or maybe not. Problem is, we are not all the same, there is no the same so...
